Due to a massive rent increase, Boston Nightlife Ventures will be closing Forum come February 28th. Drop by before then to pay your respects to the Boylston Street restaurant, which was at the center of the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013 and was closed for four months subsequently as it rebuilt. In a statement released earlier today, company president Euz Azevedo thanked patrons for their support and announced that the group will be retiring the name, Forum. Staff from Forum will be offered opportunities at other restaurants within the family, including The Tap Trailhouse, Wink & Nod, Griddler’s Burgers & Dogs, and an as-yet-unnamed concept coming soon in Somerville, according to Chief Culinary Officer Bill Brodsky.
