Osteria Posto, the newest venture from the Alpine Restaurant Group, has opened its doors in Waltham for a sneak peek this holiday week. The modern take on an Italian steakhouse features fresh, seasonal eats from chef-owner Joe Cassinelli and executive chef Robert Fathman: think charcuterie, handmade pastas, and high-quality meats and seafood in dishes like tagliatelle with wild boar sugo and Tuscan seafood stew. The restaurant’s focus on locally sourced ingredients and sustainability shows through with their Green City Growers raised bed garden, which will produce edible plants by spring. The menus are matched by the beverage list: craft cocktails, craft beers and a selection of wines at the 22-seat, stone bar. Osteria Posto is open Sunday through Saturday for dinner from 5:00-10:00pm (Friday and Saturday until 11:00pm) before the grand opening post-Thanksgiving. Take a look at the menu here and swing by for a break from Turkey Day leftovers.
