It’s all Greek to chef Michael Schlow at the now-open Doretta Taverna and Raw Bar. Taking the place of Via Matta, the newest concept from the chef behind Tico and Alta Strada focuses its culinary attentions on seasonal Mediterranean fare. Schlow has drawn inspiration for the menu of small plates, spreads and entrees from his wife Adrienne’s Spartan roots. Guests can enjoy local seafood from the raw bar, homemade whipped feta with warm flatbread and entrees like spit-roasted lamb shoulder in the 150-seat restaurant space—which features a one-of-a-kind 60-foot-long wall hand-painted by Adrienne Schlow.
