Saltbox Kitchen Debuts

Saltbox Kitchen

Saltbox Kitchen brings farm-fresh flavors to West Concord when the café opens on Thursday, July 9th. Chef-farmer Ben Elliott took over the family agricultural tradition when he moved to his grandparents’ farm in 2004 and has expanded Saltbox Farm to include a CSA program, cooking school and catering business. The café space at Saltbox Kitchen will allow Elliott to return to his restaurant beginnings (he was formerly chef de cuisine at No. 9 Park) with dishes inspired by the New England harvest. Head chef Aran Goldstein (formerly of Clink) will help showcase the farm’s bounty, like fresh eggs, local honey and and lamb, with prepared to-go foods and café service from breakfast to dinner. Beverages will include biodynamic wines, local artisanal beers and specialty cocktails. Guests can settle in at the 15-seat Kitchen, decorated with rustic elements like driftwood tables and contemporary touches like subway tile walls, between 7:00am and 7:00pm, Monday through Saturday, for a taste of Concord’s best.
