L’Aventure Languedoc continues on this week and it’s about time you discover the region’s tasty white wines. There’s a whole slew of wine shop tastings lined up where you can explore the adventurous vintages. When you’re out sipping, look for the appellations of Limoux and Picpoul de Pinet for delectable sips. Even though Languedoc is in the south of France, Limoux gets chilly northerly winds that allow for sparkling wines, the area’s specialty. The coastal Picpoul de Pinet overlooks the Mediterranean and produces bright, zesty whites—a natural match for New England’s summer seafood.
