Harvest Fest Ushers In Autumn

Barbara Lynch and the BL Gruppo are taking the news that summer’s over pretty well by embracing the fall and throwing a big fat Harvest Fest party on Sunday, October 5th. There may not be corn mazes or tiny horses but this citified celebration promises to be the perfect way to transition into New England’s most photogenic season. The rain or shine event, which runs from 2:00-6:00pm at the corner of Waltham and Tremont Streets (right between B&G Oysters and The Butcher Shop), should offer enough oysters, artisanal meat and cheese and small grower wines to help you forget all about your fading tan. Look for familiar faces (and, more importantly, food) from Alden & Harlow, Fairsted Kitchen, Moody’s Delicatessen, Myers + Chang, Stacked Donuts, Stir, Tavern Road, Trademark Tarts and the forthcoming Cafe ArtScience. There’ll also activities like donut decorating, cooking and knife sharpening demonstrations, and dancing on the B&G patio. Tickets come in two varieties: general admission, which cost $135 (or $150 day of) and include all you can eat small plates and three drink tickets; and VIP, which cost $175 and allow for an extra hour of partying, unlimited food and four drink tickets. Get yours online here and get in on the fall-ish fun.
