Food for Thought for the BCAE

Boston’s culinary big-guns will be out in full force at the Boston Center for Adult Education on Thursday, March 13th to showcase their talents and support a worthy scholarship fund at the third annual Beyond Beef: Food for Thought. Cooking at this year’s event, which raises much-needed monies for the Jordan S. Ruboy M.D. Scholarship Fund (a tuition assistance program for students in need): Karen Akunowicz of Myers + Chang, Jason Bond of Bondir and Bondir Concord, Tiffani Faison of Sweet Cheeks Q, Matthew Gaudet of West Bridge, Michael Leviton of Lumière, Area Four and A4 Pizza, and Michael Scelfo of Alden & Harlow, among others. Each chef will be preparing one-of-a-kind dishes using nine different ingredients along with signature drinks to be enjoyed by all. Tickets are $80 for the regular garden variety; $125 for the VIP kind which includes a reception before the event; or $200 for a place at an exclusive 14-seat Farmer’s Table. The VIP reception begins at 5:45pm, while general admission opens at 6:30 and wraps up at 9:00pm. Tickets of all types are available online.
