Just when everyone’s ripe for an island getaway, The Langham brings A Taste of the Azores to Boston. Through the end of March (the 28th, to be precise) the Downtown hotel is featuring compelling examples of the islands’ heritage including Azorean works of art and culinary traditions, culminating with a luxurious four-course wine dinner on the 28th ($165 per person), complete with Portuguese entertainment. As part of the month’s events, each restaurant within the hotel – The Reserve, Cafe Fleuri and BOND – will be adding Azorean specialties created by Chef Mark Sapienza (with a little help from the folks at Escola de Formação Turística e Hoteleira). They’ll even be adding some specialty cocktails and making over their afternoon tea, adding Azorean tea blends to the mix.
