Get Schooled in Sake

Do you know all there is to know about sake? No? Well, then you’ll want to reserve a place at o ya where co-owner and sake sommelier Nancy Cushman will team up with manager Alyssa DiPasquale to present two Sake 101 courses this fall. On both Saturdays, September 15th and October 20th interested pupils can sign up for the one and one half hour class in which Cushman, who just completed the highest level professional course certification in Japan (so she knows of which she speaks) will teach you the basics and share some of her experiences. Not to be outdone, DiPasquale will impart some of her knowledge of food pairings which chef Tim Cushman will deliciously illustrate. Each class costs $125 per person and begins at 2:00pm. Space is limited so make sure you call 617.654.9900 if you’d like a spot.
