Not Your Average Campfire Cookout

Chefs Jay Murray, Chris Douglass and Patricia Yeo know how to man the grill – at least in the comfort of their own kitchens. See what happens when they’re in the great outdoors at the Not Your Average Campfire Cookout Competition on Saturday, July 28th. The three cookers will face-off over the open flames, trying to create two dishes using the REI outdoor camp cooking gear – and the featured surprise ingredient. Dishes will be judged on taste, creativity and presentation. Cheer on your favorite chef and maybe learn a trick or two to make your next camping trip a little tastier. Be at North Point Park in Cambridge between 1:00 and 3:00pm.
