Bargain Bites - Unbelievable dining deals at Boston's best restaurants
On Sunday, August 29th let the peeps from The Urban Grape plan your Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur menus - well, the wine part of the menu, at least. Owner TJ Douglas has enlisted the help of The Fireplace's Jim Solomon - the two of them will be matching some great kosher wines (way more than Manischewitz) with some delicious kosher dishes (please note the dishes won't actually be kosher - but they could be if they were prepared in a kosher kitchen). They'll even be pouring some kosher Scotch for your drinking pleasure. The free tasting, which starts at 7:00pm at the stylish (and brand spanking new) Chestnut Hill shop, will also include stories and reflections from food writer and blogger Robin Cohen (www.dovesandfigs.com), who'll be talking about the role of seasonal food and farming in holiday traditions. RSVP to events@theurbangrape.com if you're planning on attending - space is limited.
