New Contenders at Tremont 647 Tapas Challenge

It's time for the fourth annual Tapas Challenge at Tremont 647. On Monday, January 18th, host chef and 2009 Tapas Champion Andy Husbands defends his title against challengers Dave Punch of Ten Tables and Garden at the Cellar's Will Gilson. The evening of friendly competition starts at 6:00pm with a sangria reception and passed hors d'oeuvres followed by a four-course dinner. For each of the first three courses the participating chefs will prepare a tapas-sized plate in one of three categories: vegetarian, shrimp and pork. Guests, without knowing who cooked what, will vote for their favorite based on taste, appearance and creativity. At the evening's end (after a dessert of blood orange flan with candied Meyer lemons and sherry) the winner will be crowned. Tickets cost $45 each and can be reserved at 617.266.4600.
