Weeks of Fun at The Wine List

Clear your calendar - those dedicated oenophiles at The Wine List in Hyannis are cooking up a month's worth of wine-focused fun. With events ranging from simple wine tastings to book signings to full blown wine dinners, there's something on their schedule to entice every type of food and wine lover out to the Cape. Check out the list below to see what strikes your fancy - then drop then an email so that they can properly prepare for your arrival.

Friday, June 12th - Blind Tasting, Part III
Join their very own Dr. Jeff as he leads guests in a blind tasting of several featured wines. The sipping gets underway at 5:30pm and costs only $15 per person.

Saturday, June 13th - Book Signing with Peter Davis
Trekking all the way from Cambridge, chef Peter Davis of Henrietta's Table will be in house to sign copies of his new cookbook Fresh & Honest. Complimentary wine and nibbles will also be available at this free event which runs from 4:00 to 6:00pm.

Thursday, June 18th - Classic Pairings
Spend your Thursday night tasting wine and food pairings that are so good, they've become classics. Beginning at 5:30pm, sample a little taste of something delicious and five wines to wash it all down for $25 per person.

Tuesday, June 23rd - Penley Estate Wine Dinner
Winemaker Kym Tolley of Penley Estate will bring a selection of his wines all the way from his native Australia, just so that lucky diners can have the chance to taste - and be treated to a delicious Australian inspired dinner to go along with them. The feasting begins at 6:00pm and costs $55 per person.

Wednesday, June 24th - Green Drinks
Green Drinks, a Cape organization dedicated to sharing ways to live more greenly and eat locally, makes a pit stop at the Wine List for an evening of networking, nibbling and, of course, organic wine tasting. The evening, which begins at 6:00pm and costs $20, includes a reception, a tasting of 4-5 wines and a brief organic wine class - don't miss out!

Thursday, July 16th - Elegant Summer Supper
At 6:00pm, celebrate summer with a dinner devoted to the treats of the season. For just $45 per person guests can enjoy succulent dishes like fig and prosciutto flatbreads; cumin-scented Statler chicken breasts with peach succotash; and lemon meringue pies. Each course will be matched with its own perfectly chosen wine pairing.
