While chef-owner Michael Schlow takes his show on the road (with the opening of an Alta Strada in Wellesley and in Connecticut, and an upcoming appearance on Top Chef Masters), he leaves chef de cuisine Mike Pagliarini in charge at his Theater District ode to all things Italian, Via Matta. In his more than capable hands, the restaurant continues to draw crowds with its mix of northern Italian regional fare - their popular Vino Tavolo series and their super reasonably priced prezzo fisso menu (see below) don't hurt, either.
