Congratulations to this year’s nominees for James Beard Foundation Awards, especially local favorites Michael Leviton of Lumière, Marc Orfaly of Pigalle and Patrick Connolly of Radius who are nominated in the Best Chef Northeast category with Mainers Mark Gaier and Clark Frasier of Ogunquit’s Arrows and Rob Evans of Hugo's in Portland. The nominees are in some pretty spectacular culinary company - Boston-based Beard Award winners of years past have included Todd English, Gordon Hamersley, Jody Adams, Lydia Shire, Barbara Lynch, Ana Sortun, Ken Oringer, Michael Schlow, Ming Tsai and last year’s winner, Frank McClelland. The winners will be announced at the Award Ceremony and gala Reception on Sunday, June 8th at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center.
