Named for the Tarantella, the emblematic wedding dance of southern Italy, Taranta has made reviewers swoon and customers come back again and again to sample the authentic southern Italian cuisine. The menu is dedicated to “cuisine meridionale” – everything south of the meridian that crosses Naples and Sardinia. Located in a comfortable and cozy brick storefront building in Boston’s North End, Taranta is unexpectedly spacious: The three floors overlooking Hanover street offer seating for 70 persons and accommodations for private parties and large groups.
