The team at Woods Hill Table, located in historic Concord Massachusetts, is looking to expand their culinary team to meet growing demand. They are currently seeking both entry-level line & line cooks who are dedicated to their craft and who are looking to participate in a growing restaurant group.
They are a fast paced environment where they prepare everything daily from scratch. With their own 360 acres, our team learns about animal husbandry (they raise over 200 heritage breed pigs, 4000 chickens, and 30 mixed Angus steer), whole animal butchery, charcuterie and sausage making, pasta making, fish fabrication, and much more.
They are also the only HACCP approved restaurant in Western Massachusetts, allowing them to combine classical culinary techniques (cooking over their custom wood grill) with current techniques such as sous-vide. Their facility is also environmentally conscious: their waste is 70% compostable and 20% recyclable, part of their power is provided by their array of solar panels and all of their produce and meats are either organic or organic practicing. Their chefs are expected to help plan, prep, set up/break down their stations, and provide quality service in all areas of food production. Chefs must be receptive to constructive criticism and be able to prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards.
Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently. Maintaining a clean, sanitary and organized station. A passion for cooking, learning, and a strong work ethic.
