Stephanie’s – Chef de Cuisine

Stephanie’s restaurants have been serving some of Boston’s most popular neighborhoods for over 20 years. Renowned for their sophisticated comfort food, approachable and friendly service, and relaxed, inviting environments. They are looking for managers who are confident and can make an impact in continuing to make their restaurants strive. The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for each guest’s satisfaction with their dining experience from arrival to departure.

This Chef de Cuisine is responsible for:
• Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
• Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
• Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
• Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
• Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
• Recruit and manage kitchen staff
• Rectify arising problems or complaints
• Give prepared plates the “final touch”
• Perform administrative duties
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Keep time and payroll records
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

• MINIMUM 2+ YEARS in a Chef Management position
• Experience with a causal but elegant establishment
• Must be passionate about Hospitality and be able to provide an A+ experience to all guests and staff
• Excellent record of kitchen management
• Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
• Capable of delegating multiple tasks
• Communication and leadership skills
• Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
