Prairie Fire – Sous Chef

Chef Brendan Joy and the team at Steel & Rye are bringing a new restaurant to Coolidge Corner in Brookline this spring. They are now accepting resumes for sous chefs.

Prairie Fire will offer simple yet thoughtful food that is meaningful to their region, selected by season. A large wood-burning oven will provide the foundation for their menu. The focus will be beautiful wood-oven pizza, charred vegetables and local shellfish, made from the best New England ingredients. The cuisine is rooted in classical technique, and they will be preserving, fermenting, brining, and cooking with fire everyday.

To join their team you should have a determined spirit, a drive for excellence and the willingness to work hard every day for yourself and your teammates. They expect you to be positive, to have fun and to always return for your next shift dedicated to improving upon your work the day before.
