Night Market in Harvard Square is looking for a Line Cook to help round out their team of misfit toys. Slinging their own take on Asian street food, cooks can expect to work either 4 or 5 days not confined to a single station with their hands in everything from prep to plating. Night Market pushes Asian street food inspired small plates and works with smaller local farms as much as possible; expect to take Western technique to Asian flavors and Asian ideas to Western ingredients.
The cooks at Night Market are expected to have a knack for organization and problem solving, so critical thinking skills are key. Line cooks must move with a sense of urgency and purpose. They take their work seriously, but still like to have fun, joke, and consider their colleagues like family members that they never wanted.
Night Market cooks can expect to have a minimum or two days off in a row most of the time, one of which may be Mondays (as they are closed on Mondays), a fair wage, and a monthly cook book stipend after 90 days on the job.
To be considered for the job, email a cover letter and your resume to the address below. They look forward to meeting you!
