The Butcher Shop Hosts Ana Sortun

Continuing its bi-monthly Cookbook Dinner Series, Barbara Lynch’s South End outpost, The Butcher Shop welcomes chef and cookbook author Ana Sortun into the kitchen to prepare four courses straight out of Spice: Flavors of the Eastern Mediterranean. On Tuesday, September 26th the award-winning Oleana chef will be whipping up a menu of red pepper and walnut puree with crick-cracks; endive and apple salad with grapes, sumac and pecan labne; sujuk with pickled green tomatoes and squash kibbeh with spiced feta cheese; and kunefe with champagne-cardamom syrup and figs. Guests will also be treated to a cooking demonstration and will get to take a signed copy of the cookbook home at the end of the night.
