Soul Food at the Beat

Beat Brasserie

Beat Brasserie honors Southern soul music with a Memphis-inspired night of live performance, food and drink on Wednesday, August 12th. Chef Ignacio Lopez will be dishing up specialties like BBQ pork ribs and Memphis smoked brisket to complement the soul stylings of jazz musician and trombonist Brian Thomas and his band. The group will pay homage to 60s- and 70s-era artists like Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett and Rufus Thomas. While they jive, guests can sip on signature cocktails like the Friend of the Devil Margarita (featuring mezcal and hellfire bitters) and the Smokey the Bear (with rye, sweet vermouth and whiskey). The band plays from 8:00-11:30pm and dining options are available from 4:00pm-12:00am. Reservations can be made by calling 617.499.0001.
