On Sunday, October 4th, you can help crown the king of ribs at the East Cambridge Business Association’s sixth annual Smoke This Rib Fest. The competition goes from noon to 4:00pm, and contenders include ArtBar, Catalyst, Commonwealth, dante, Loyal Nine, Ole, Puritan & Co., and State Park, among others. Cast your vote and decide whose BBQ beats ’em all at the outdoor festival on Cambridge St. in East Cambridge. There will be live music, ribs, and plenty of non-rib snacks showcasing the participating restaurants’ fall menus. Tickets come in two tiers: the Taste Ticket for $25, which includes ten rib tickets or, for the truly carnivorous, the Meateater for $75 which includes samples of all the ribs, a T-shirt and extra voting clout.
