Pitcher this: the Seaport area’s restaurants go glass-to-glass in a Sangria Smackdown just in time for summer weather. On Thursday, June 2nd, neighborhood establishments will bring their wine and fruit concoctions to the Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center to compete for the title of champion. Last year’s winner The Barking Crab will return against Empire, Tamo, Rowes Wharf Sea Grille and others. From 6:00-8:00pm guests can sip on the chilled cups and snack on hors d’oeuvres, then cast their vote for the reigning recipe. Tickets for the 21+ event are $20 each, available online here, and proceeds benefit City Year Boston, dedicated to supporting education in high-poverty communities.
