Help Out Helping Hands

Helping Hands Website

The obliging little primates at Helping Hands: Monkey Helpers could use your assistance. The nonprofit organization – the only one of its kind in the world –raises and trains capuchin monkeys to provide daily, in-home support for the disabled. And this weekend, on Saturday, October 22nd, they’re hosting their annual fundraising festivale at WGBH Studios in Cambridge. Pick up a ticket (available online here for $150 each) and spend the evening (from 6:00-10:00pm) dancing to the Ward Eights, bidding on fabulous auction items, sipping cocktails, wine or beer, and nibbling your way through tasty morsels provided by the likes of Mistral, Sorellina, Teatro, Mooo…., L’Andana, Ostra, Trade, Bastille Kitchen, Row 34 and Branch Line. It’s an incredibly easy and enjoyable way to provide people living with mobility impairments a measure of independence. Get all the details – about the event and about Helping Hands – online.
