Dundee VIII lands at Harpoon on Sunday, February 19th, ushering in an evening of meat pie madness. The culinary competition pits local restaurants against each other in a battle of the best Aussie-style pie. Lincoln Tavern took the win last year, but the championship belt is up for grabs again, with chefs from spots like KO Pies, the Grafton Group, Commonwealth, Loco, Tavolo and more serving up their best south of the equator delicacies. Tickets are available online here, $90 for each group of up to four people. Each ticket ensures 12 meat pies to split amongst your mates and a free Harpoon brew for every member of your squad. You’ll get to cast your vote and the victorious meat pie maker donates proceeds to the charity of their choosing. Patrick Maguire will emcee the evening (7:00-10:00pm) and try to keep the trash-talking competitors in line. There’ll be no tickets at the door so wrangle your pals and picks yours up while they last.
