A Countrified 4th at Coppersmith

On Independence Day Eve (aka Sunday, July 3rd), Southie gets a little dose of southern charm at Coppersmith’s first ever CountryFest. The all-day party starts at 12:00pm and includes live country music, cornhole and a mechanical bull for those who really want to test their mettle (before 4:00pm). Executive chef Jason Heard, a Georgia native, will pay homage to the foods of his youth by smoking alligator meat in his nine-foot-long Lang Smoker, and dishing up a la carte plates of BBQ ribs, Corona-battered hush puppies, beef brisket, pulled pork, pulled pork nachos and chargrilled oysters. Kids under-12 can eat free from the kid’s menu and Country 102.5FM will be onsite with prizes and giveaways including tickets to this summer’s sold out Kenny Chesney concert at Gillette Stadium. Call Coppersmith at 617.658.3452 with any question or to get in on the good times.
