If the Beehive’s Oktoberfest on the 6th doesn’t curb your craving for beer, pretzels and all things German, head across the river to its younger sibling Beat Brasserie on Sunday, October 11th. Harvard Square’s 37th annual Oktoberfest kicks off at 11:00am, and Beat Brasserie takes part by turning into a Bavarian Beer Hall for the day. Community tables, German food and a wide beer selection will bring a taste of Munich to the Cambridge eatery, where chef Ignacio Lopez ditches his regular menu to offer guests a selection of Bavarian sausages, roasts, sauerkraut, schnitzel, pretzels and strudel. Bring your dancing shoes, too—The Mad Bavarians will be playing polkas, sing-a-long tunes and beer songs all day. To make a reservation, call 617.499.0001.
