Bacon and beer, together again. This year, the eighth annual Bacon & Beer Festival comes to Fenway Park courtesy of Eat Boston on Saturday, May 13th. Local restaurants will be knocking it out of the park with bacon-y creations for the hungry masses. From 12:30 to 3:00pm, folks like ArtBar, Bambara, Bostonia Public House, Brasserie Jo, Central Bistro, Coppersmith, En Boca, Hops N Scotch, Island Creek Oyster Bar, Island Creek Oyster Bar Burlington, La Morra, Lower Mills Tavern, Puritan & Company, The Smoke Shop, Tapestry, The Fireplace, The Sinclair, Uni, Woods Hill Table and more will be serving up meat-y plates to go with beers from 15 select breweries (plus Fenway’s usual suds offerings). Tickets are $52 each while they last or $135 each for VIP, which includes early entrance, bleacher seats for that night’s Red Sox-Rays game, an event t-shirt and tote bag, a Red Sox giveaway and a coupon for a special bacon dish at the event. Proceeds benefit the Red Sox Foundation, Lovin’ Spoonfuls and Community Servings, and tickets can be purchased online here.
