African Beat

Lamine Touré Website

Join Beat Brasserie for a trip to West Africa on Thursday, September 10th without leaving the confines of Harvard Square. The night of food, libations and live music starts at 4:00pm and runs until 1:00am (musical performances are scheduled from 6:30pm-12:30am) so swing by throughout the evening for chef Ignacio Lopez’ take on the national dish of Senegal, Thiéboudienne, along with other African-inspired fare. There’ll be an intimate performance by Albino Mbie followed by Afro-pop courtesy of Lamine Touré and Group Saloum. There is no cover charge; reservations are encouraged if you’d like a table. Call the Beat Brasserie at 617.499.0001 for more information. No need to get on a plane for a taste of West African culture…maybe just the T.
