Biggie Brunch in Cambridge

While Bostonians wait for the late 2014 arrival of Kate & Matt JenningsTownsman, Alden & Harlow plays temporary host to the duo’s famed Biggie Brunch, a Sunday morning staple at their Providence restaurant, Farmstead. On Sunday, August 24th, chef-owner and hip hop enthusiast Michael Scelfo will be enlisting fellow chefs Jake Rojas of Rhode Island’s Tallulah on Thames, Sam Monsour of The Future of Junk Food, and Pastry Chef Brian Mercury of Harvest for a collaborative a la carte brunch that celebrates breakfast, lunch and the greatest rapper that ever lived, Biggie Smalls. Each chef – including Jennings – will be adding two dishes to the day’s offerings. Just book a table between 10:30am and 2:30pm and you can get your day started with Scelfo’s Honies Play Me Close Like Butter Plays Toast (chicken fried rabbit, Holliston honey butter, cold smoked grits) or Monsour’s Leggo My Eggo (chicken fat waffles with torchon brûlée, smoked strawberries and blackstrap).
