Get over to Tremont Street on Monday, August 2nd for the first-of-its-kind Bols Genever dinner at Aquitaine. Forsaking the restaurant's regular French leanings, chef Matthew Gaudet goes Dutch, pairing four courses with five cocktails built around the spirit, which has the mixability of vodka and a whiskey-ish flavor. Though Bols Genever is often enjoyed in shot form, mixologists Matt Coughlin will have to come up with something a little more creative to pair with dishes like hibiscus beet marinated arctic char with Bing cherries and pickled radishes; and chocolate malt mousse with graham streusel and coffee dusted marshmallow. Dinner, which is priced at $65 a head, starts at 8:00pm. There's only one seating so you'll want to call 617.424.8577 asap to save your spot.
