The Lineage of the Cocktail

The folks at Lineage take their drinks seriously - especially on Friday and Saturday nights at their exploratory beverage series known as The Lineage of the Cocktail. Taking their cue from Dr. Cocktail himself, author and cocktail historian Ted Haigh, the team behind the bar at this Brookline restaurant will be shaking, stirring, muddling and mixing their way through Vintage Spirits & Forgotten Cocktails - from the Alamagoozlum to the Zombie. Each week, from 9:00-11:30pm, they'll be featuring two different drinks in two different sizes (around $5 for the smaller and $9 or $10 for the larger). Next up on the agenda: the French 75 (gin, lemon, sugar and sparkling wine) and the Scofflaw (rye, dry vermouth, lemon, grenadine) but you can always call ahead to see what they'll be pouring - 617.232.0065.
